800 Years of Lebus – City Anniversary

On the Road to the Anniversary

2025 was a year of preparation for Lebus. Clubs, schools, church communities, and the Lebus administration coordinated the parade, special exhibition, and accompanying program for the 800th city anniversary in 2026. The small town on the Oder, which received town rights in 1226, thus prepared for one of the biggest festivals in its history.

An Anniversary with Historical Background

With the 900th anniversary of the Diocese of Lebus falling in 2026, a second jubilee coincides with the festival year — the city is combining both occasions in a joint program design.
