In 2025, preparations for Warstein's 750th-anniversary city celebration were in full swing. The city, festival committee, and associations jointly planned the anniversary program for June 2026 — from historical stations and the anniversary Schnadezug to the official ceremony. The city anniversary did not yet take place in 2025, but initial preparatory events and announcements shaped city life.
Preparation for the 2026 City Anniversary
In 2025, Warstein was still in the intensive preparation phase for the 2026 city anniversary. The festival committee, city administration, associations, schools, and church communities coordinated the extensive program — from historical research for the 10 station parcours stops to planning the anniversary Schnadezug (simultaneously with its 100-year anniversary) and booking the WarsteinLive acts for June 2026. The city used 2025 to involve citizens, associations, and sponsors in the planning. The city anniversary dates of June 12–14, 2026, and the WarsteinLive Thursday evenings in June 2026 were finalized in 2025.
