Overview

The 2025 edition of 48h Wilhelmsburg followed the proven concept in June 2025: 48 hours of live music at over 50 locations on the Elbe islands of Wilhelmsburg and Veddel, with more than 150 acts and completely free entry. Opening on Friday evening at Stübenplatz, complemented by private garden concerts, church matinees, and acoustic performances in cafés.

The 2025 edition once again confirmed the festival's importance for the identity of the Wilhelmsburg and Veddel districts. Over 150 acts, more than 50 concert venues, thousands of visitors – the festival ran smoothly throughout the weekend without any significant issues. The booking once again covered the entire spectrum: Hip-Hop and Punk alongside string quartets and folk acoustics.

In the state of Hamburg, 48h Wilhelmsburg is one of the few district festivals that has remained internationally relevant musically without losing its local character. In the 2025 festival calendar, it stood out as one of Hamburg's most important summer events – free, diverse, decentralized, co-creative.
