Overview

The 45Hertz Festival 2025 took place in summer 2025 on the Esplanade Hamburg Messe (West Entrance). Several Day Festivals featuring Techno, House, Hip-Hop, Indie-Pop, plus an Open Art Space with installations and a street food mile. The format has been establishing itself for several years as an urban open-air event in the Hamburg-Mitte district.

The 2025 edition further refined the Day Festival concept and broadened the genre spectrum. While 45Hertz's origins lie in the electronic scene, the festival has evolved into a cross-genre Hamburg open-air event, appealing to both its core techno audience and fans of Hip-Hop and Indie-Pop.

The Esplanade in front of Hamburg Messe – on the edge of the Schanzenviertel – has established itself as an urban open-air location. In Hamburg's summer festival calendar for 2025, 45Hertz stood out alongside Stadtpark Open Air, ElbJazz, Reeperbahn Festival, and MS Dockville as one of the defining dates.
