Overview
In 2025, preparations were underway for the 2026 UCI premiere in Winterberg. The 3rides series established its brand on the Südliche Weinstraße and in East Belgium; Winterberg was announced as the German UCI stage for 2026. Many future participants trained on the Sauerland routes.
In 2025, Winterberg focused on preparing for the 2026 UCI stage. The route was scouted, the format with prologue/main race/queen stage was defined, and the town was positioned as an ideal gravel destination in the Hochsauerland. The parallel 3rides stage on the Südliche Weinstraße already offered a preview of the new UCI format in the 2025 season.
