Overview

In the run-up to the 155th anniversary in 2026, the Ettmannsdorf Volunteer Fire Brigade prepared its festival weekend in the summer of 2025. Drills, member meetings, and preparations characterized the year. The brigade is part of the fire protection system of the 'Große Kreisstadt' (large district town) Schwandorf and maintains its fire station at Josef-Hermann-Straße 3 in the Ettmannsdorf district.

The Ettmannsdorf Volunteer Fire Brigade, founded in 1871, looks back on 154 years of volunteer fire protection in 2025. In the run-up to the major anniversary festival in 2026, the year 2025 was marked by drills, initiating partnerships with neighboring brigades, and the conceptual preparation of the ceremony.

The brigade is one of several district fire stations of the 'Große Kreisstadt' (large district town) Schwandorf and has strong local roots. Its fire station on Josef-Hermann-Straße in the Ettmannsdorf district also serves as the starting point for the 2026 festival week.
