Overview

In 2025, the FFW Obertaufkirchen was entirely focused on preparing for the 150th anniversary festival in 2026. The festival committee, patronage, marquee booking, band engagement, and logo and table advertising design — everything was completed in this preparatory year, alongside ongoing operational duties and training sessions.

As with any 150th-anniversary festival in Bavaria, the preparation phase is extensive: throughout 2025, the festival committee worked on the choreography of the five days, band bookings, the festival publication, and the visual identity (logo, hashtag #OTK2026, table advertising). The FFW Obertaufkirchen coordinated early with the neighboring brigades of the Mühldorf am Inn district — especially with the FFW Schwindegg, which traditionally acts as a close partner brigade in the region.

In addition, the regular training sessions, fire safety education in the local school, joint exercises with neighboring brigades, and operational duties in the Mühldorf district continued in 2025 — all in preparation for the festival year 2026.
