In 2025, the preparatory year for the 150th anniversary in 2026 took place. Members of the Altfeld Volunteer Fire Brigade organized committees, sought sponsors, and planned the program for the grand anniversary festival on the Pentecost weekend in 2026. Regular club activities and training exercises continued as usual.
Preparation for the Anniversary
In 2025, intensive preparations were underway for the 150th anniversary of the Altfeld Volunteer Fire Brigade. Festival committees were formed, sponsors approached, and the festival tent and program were planned. The association organized several preparatory meetings and participated in neighboring fire brigade festivals.
In parallel, the brigade's regular activities continued: training exercises, youth work, training on respiratory protection and turntable ladders, fire safety education in schools. The grand anniversary festival was planned for the Pentecost weekend in 2026 and was publicly announced in the summer of 2025.
