In the run-up to the 150th anniversary, preparations for the big festival weekend in 2026 began at the Alesheim Volunteer Fire Brigade in 2025. As is customary for Bavarian fire brigade anniversaries, the festival committee, patronage, and program were planned over several months.

A Bavarian fire brigade anniversary of this magnitude requires a long lead time: the festival committee, patron club, and program are planned over months, and the festival is announced in the fire brigade festivals calendar of the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen District Fire Command. Thus, 2025 followed the decades-long tradition of the Alesheim fire brigade and laid the foundation for the grand anniversary festival at the end of May 2026 in the Altmühltal.
