In 2025, the Walkertshofen Volunteer Fire Brigade already began preparing for its upcoming 150th anniversary. Preparations, club evenings, and calendar entries marked the year leading up to the grand founding festival in 2026.

In the run-up to the major anniversary in 2026, the year 2025 was dedicated to preparations for the Walkertshofen Volunteer Fire Brigade. The brigade, founded on May 1, 1876, planned the three-day founding festival and coordinated with the friendly fire brigades of the Augsburg district in anticipation of the 150th anniversary.

As is customary for Bavarian fire brigade anniversaries, the anniversary year brings together the voluntary commitment of the entire village community – a foretaste of the festive highlight in August 2026.
