In the run-up to the 140th anniversary in 2026, the Volunteer Fire Brigade Kirchhellen organized its annual May Festival on Josef-Terwellen-Platz in 2025. Morning pint, club competition, and camaraderie of the brigade characterized May 1, 2025 — as preparation for the big 2026 anniversary, which will be celebrated with a three-day program.
The FFW Kirchhellen traditionally celebrates May 1st with a May Festival on Josef-Terwellen-Platz. Club competition, festival tent atmosphere, and community come together. 2025 was the last "normal" edition before the big anniversary year 2026 — a direct link to the 140th anniversary.
