Overview

2025 was not yet an event year for #125StundenChor — the premiere is in 2026. However, the registration process ran throughout 2025: the Berlin Choir Association published the guidelines, the Swabian Choir Association promoted participation among its member choirs, and over 200 Berlin choirs secured their 30-minute slot.

The #125StundenChor is a first-time format for the 125th anniversary of the Berlin Choir Association and will take place for the first time in 2026. 2025 was a preparatory year: In spring, the association published the registration guidelines, the Swabian Choir Association reported on the format in August 2025 and called on its member choirs to participate.

By the registration deadline, the Berlin association had recorded over 200 registrations from Berlin, as well as numerous association choirs from across Germany and some international guests. The stage technology of the ATZE Musiktheater was booked, and the record certification process with Guinness World Records was prepared.
